Running Assessment
We offer comprehensive Running Assessments designed to cater for all needs. Whether you are new to running or a seasoned marathoner, we can help with a particular problem or just improve your overall performance.
OUR RUNNING ASSESSMENTS INCLUDE:
A thorough investigation into your running and injury history
A comprehensive functional and biomechanics assessment
Video analysis of your running pattern
Advice on technique, training methods and which exercises would be most beneficial for you
During our assessment, we will use specific markers on certain landmarks of the body (eg. pelvis, knees or ankles) and video your running pattern. We analyse the video in slow-motion to evaluate your technique and provide you with key information and exercise that you might need to improve your running performance or manage injury.
Force plates are also used in running assessments to measure how your body interacts with the ground when you run. As you run over the plate, it captures detailed data like how hard you hit the ground, how quickly you push off, and whether both legs are working evenly. This helps identify any issues with your running technique, prevent injuries, and improve performance. The data is often combined with video to give a full picture of how you move.
